BOZCAADA TOUR
After a pleasant journey that began in the morning, we disembark at Geyikli Harbor. From here, we take a ferry to Bozcaada, the pearl of the Aegean Sea. The island greets us with its views adorned with vineyards, its imposing castle, and historical Greek houses.
We start our island tour in the area where the old Greek houses are located, characterized by narrow, cobblestone streets that carry the past into the present. After a short walk and photo break in these nostalgic streets, we turn our course to Bozcaada Castle. The exact date of its construction is unknown, but this magnificent castle was first built in 1657 during the reign of Fatih Sultan Mehmet, and then rebuilt in 1815 by Sultan Mahmud II. Lastly, it was restored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 1996 and reached its current state.
After our castle visit, we see the historical Alabey Mosque located in the center of Bozcaada. After a short visit here, we give free time for lunch.
After our meal break, guests who wish can continue exploring the island's streets, while those who prefer can take minibusses (for an extra fee) to Ayazma Beach and enjoy swimming in the Aegean's clear waters.
At the end of our free time, we come together again and return to Geyikli Harbor by ferry. After a day filled with beautiful memories, we head back. We hope to see you on the next Kyzikos Travel tour..
