We set off at the first light of the morning, and our journey begins with a breakfast break along the way. After having a delicious start to the day, we turn our route to Sigacik Castle, which attracts intense interest from local and foreign tourists on Sundays with its authentic atmosphere. The market set up within the castle is waiting for us with its stalls filled with handmade pies, boreks, sarma, and homemade sweets prepared by the village people. This market is also famous for its organic products, and we provide free time here.
After free time, we get back on our vehicle and head towards Cesme. First, we begin our tour with Cesme Castle, the Archaeology Museum, the Amphora Exhibition, and the historic Caravanserai. Then we visit the Balikli Kiosk, located at Fener Burnu Cove, which attracts attention with its giant aquarium housing around 400 fish, including sea bass and gilt-head bream, aged 8 to 10 years.
In the last part of our tour, we proceed to Alacati, a charming town that reflects the spirit of the Aegean with its stone buildings, narrow streets, and lavender-scented mastic gardens, and known for windsurfing. Here, you can buy mastic jams unique to the region and enjoy a pleasant walk among the historic stone houses.
